Trewiddle Farm Development, St Austell, Cornwall

Proposed mixed use development with associated parking and roads, Trewhiddle Farm, Truro Road, St Austell. Development comprises supermarket, retail units, hotel and eatery.

EDS were employed by Kingsley Developments Ltd to design the site’s surface water drainage to discharge a planning condition. The work included site investigation to ascertain the percolation rates across the site, and design of site SuDS systems.

The percolation rates, in conjunction with MicroDrainage software, were used to accurately and efficiently size the surface water sustainable drainage systems that would serve the proposal.

Modular Soakaways and swales were specified, which were designed to a 1 in 100 year standard with a 40% allowance for climate change, in line with the Local Councils and Lead Local Flood Authority requirements.
